Unofficial price for Outback will be around 2.5+ million baht, not a little over 2 million. At this range, there are many other brands to choose from. Only a handful will be sold, just like the last version.
Its a stunning car/suv/wagon. Suitable for our roads with occasional floods. Jeremy Clarkson form Top Gear gave it the best car in the world. If it comes in at around 2 million, then MIT will have a winner.
MIT should also bring in Forester 2.5 NA and price it around 1.8 - 1.9 million. Another excellent SUV, but under power for 2 litre engine. As for 2.5 XT, its over priced.
Oh, how I wished that Subaru sell cars in thousands every year. More cars means more service center, more parts, more accessories at lower price. It's currently pricing itself out of the market. Maybe that's the strategy. Low volume, high margin. Too bad for all of us.
