Let me introduce myself. I am one of the founding member of SSS. I was given the honor of being the club's President by other members. Among our members, we were able to put together a very successful club in just couple of years. Not to mention that SSS was envied by many other clubs at the time. How did we do it? Through Love and Respect for each other members. We shared the same goal, How to make SSS benefit all Subaru owners. Everything we did, we always asked ourself if this was
for the club and
for all Subarist? We had no ego, because non was required.
Fast forward to current event. I am glad that SSS members expressed themself strongly on certain issues. I am also sadden that some members have lost that Love and Respect for each other. Furthermore, their action do not benefit SSS except to serve their own egos. There is no such thing as winning at any cost. End result is we all loose.
I am not saying who is right or wrong. Just simply looking at the fact available on this web and talking to few other members.
Here are my humble opinion, take them as you like.
To Mr. President:
1.President is a volunteer job to manage club on behalf of all members (owner of the club).
2.Power comes with responsibility, don't over excercised them.
3.Transparency is of extreme importance.
4.Listen to needs and wants of members
To some members:
1.Respect the vote that other members have given to elect the President.
2.Adhere to proper rules of engagement - if you don't like current President, then ask for an extraordinary general meeting to elect a new one.
3.Refrain from using profanity when posting your comment on this web. SSS must have CLASS. Without CLASS, there is nothing.
Lastly, problems are part of growing up. SSS is getting bigger and bigger all the time. Don't get upset by problems. Clubs are meant to be fun. So, overcome those problems - in a proper way.
Love and Respect, nothing more - nothing less.
Good luck
